THE HISTORY
Dominique Piron oldest ancestor, Etienne Bailly, was born in 1590 at Morgon, generations succeeded for the last 3 centuries.
TODAY
When it comes to the Piron family, the profession of winegrower has been passed on from father to son. Starting off with 10 family-owned hectares of Morgon, Dominique Piron has set his own course. The Piron trading company that he established in 1988 to buy grapes in Morgon was a first of its kind in the Beaujolais area – the house of Fessy, followed by Jadot and Duboeuf copied this initiative. Dominique asked the businessman and manager Julien Révillon to join the House of Piron in 2013. This pure native of Beaujolais and 7th-generation winegrower, arrived with 7 ha of vines. He allows Dominique, a pragmatic dreamer, to dedicate more time to the vineyard’s renovation and to the production of resolutely modern wines with character. And of course to continue innovating.
A SPIRIT OF INNOVATION
Following the construction of a new storage and bottling cellar in 2014, a winery (stainless steel and cement vats) was inaugurated in 2015 at harvest time, thereby bringing together in the same place, the different sites used today.
